City of Bethlehem

Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

The City of Bethlehem wayfinding signage program will enhance the identity of the community and its institutions, reinforce the city’s brand, improve the visitor experience and inspire a better sense of place. With the support of stakeholders representing key institutions, facilities, and civic leaders, the comprehensive system of gateways, directional signs, and identification landmarks will guide vehicular and pedestrian traffic fluidly through the city’s North side and South side downtowns.

With a strong focus of promoting walkability in the city, the pedestrian signage system provides distance or time it will take to reach a destination. Vehicular and pedestrian signage also incorporate an interpretive signage program which celebrates and informs visitors about the history of their past innovators who have had a significant influence within the city or community. The project is currently proceeding into its first phase of implementation. Tangram is currently providing Construction Administration services for the City for the fabrication and installation of the signage.

“The community outreach was extensive for our project. Tangram has been very responsive to the individual requests made by several stakeholders in the community and the final design was well received by the community. It is clear that Tangram has completed many quality projects of similar or larger scope than ours and brought a significant amount of experience and talent to the table.”
